The Visqueen Registered Installer Scheme is a specialised training initiative designed to enhance installer competence, ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2021, and improve industry standards for fitting Visqueen Damp Proof Course (DPC) products. Delivered in partnership with CITB Approved Training Providers, the scheme provides nationally recognised training, third-party assessed competence, and official registration on the Visqueen Register of Installers. With mandatory refreshers every four years, this programme helps contractors, housebuilders, and clients mitigate risks, strengthen accountability, and drive higher levels of compliance and safety across UK construction sites.

The Visqueen Registered Installer Scheme is a comprehensive initiative designed to support and elevate the competence of installers working with Visqueen Damp Proof Course (DPC) products across the UK. The scheme aims to address critical industry needs for compliance, competence, and insurability, especially in the context of evolving regulations outlined in the Building Safety Act.

Visqueen, in partnership with the National Masonry Academy, has developed this scheme to ensure that installers demonstrate the required skill-set and knowledge to responsibly and compliantly fit Visqueen DPC within cavity walls—a vital component used on the majority of construction sites nationwide. The scheme not only enhances installers’ competence but also embeds corporate responsibility within the supply chain, ensuring greater compliance with legal and safety standards.

In alignment with the Building Safety Act, the scheme strengthens accountability across the supply chain, including manufacturers, contractors, and housebuilders. By encouraging participation in this programme, the industry can effectively mitigate risks associated with non-compliance, while supporting overall safety and quality standards on construction sites.

Official Installer Registration

Successful candidates are listed on the Visqueen Register of Installers with mandatory four-year refreshers.

To ensure robust, nationally standardised training, Visqueen has partnered with CITB Approved Training Providers; The National Training Academy. This collaboration has led to the development of a specially tailored training course using industry standard ‘Installing Specialist Cloak Systems’. This training, delivered by accredited providers, will help installers gain third-party assessed competence, which will be officially recognised and listed on the Construction Industry Database.
