The Fine Art Brickwork course is an intensive two-day, hands-on programme designed for experienced bricklayers who want to refine their craftsmanship and master advanced decorative and structural brickwork. Delivered by master craftsman Mark Rosier, this course explores the geometry, precision, and traditional techniques behind high-quality architectural brick features.
Learners will construct a range of classic brick features, including:
Segmental arch
Three-centred arch
Gauged arch
Bullseye feature
Each element is taught from first principles, setting out with geometry, creating and using templates, accurately cutting bricks, and assembling features to fine tolerances.
Participants will leave with a deeper appreciation of design, proportion, and craftsmanship, gaining skills applicable to both restoration and new-build environments where high-quality brickwork is essential.
