Building Skills, Building Futures
Apprenticeships are the cornerstone of a thriving construction industry, and at the National Masonry Academy, we’re committed to supporting businesses and individuals in creating a skilled workforce for the future. Whether you’re an employer looking to bring in fresh talent or an individual ready to start a career in masonry, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
Delivered in a supportive and hands-on environment, these beginner programmes ensure you gain the knowledge and confidence needed to build a strong foundation in the trade. From basic bricklaying to essential safety protocols, you’ll receive comprehensive training to prepare you for a successful career in the construction industry.
Finding the right apprentice can feel like a daunting task, but we simplify the process. We work with businesses to identify their needs and help them connect with aspiring apprentices who are ready to contribute to the masonry sector. From screening potential candidates to coordinating interviews, we make the journey seamless and efficient.
One of the biggest benefits of hiring apprentices through us is access to CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) funding. We assist employers in navigating the funding application process, ensuring they can take advantage of grants and resources that make training apprentices affordable.
Here’s how the funding works:
If your business pays into the CITB Levy, these funds can be used to cover or significantly reduce training costs for your apprentices.
Even if you don’t pay into the levy, as a smaller business, you may still qualify for grants and financial support, making it possible to train apprentices with little or no out-of-pocket costs.
Once apprentices are hired, we provide exceptional training tailored to industry needs. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience and the knowledge required to excel in masonry. Our courses are accredited and designed to build practical skills, from foundational bricklaying techniques to advanced construction practices.
